We had the exciting opportunity to engage with bright young minds from the University of San Carlos in Cebu and Silliman University in Dumaguete to give aspiring tech talents a glimpse into our company and culture.

University of San Carlos (Cebu)

On May 20, 2023, our team was in Cebu to talk to junior and senior college students of the University of San Carlos. Held at the Bunzel Building of USC-Talamban Campus, it was an intimate gathering that was scheduled solely for MDI Novare — an accommodation by the university that we very much appreciate!

The presentations were delivered by Mai De Guzman, Chief Talent Build Officer; Dennis Maitim, Chief Finance Officer; and Edmund Odulio, General Manager for VisMin. The topics showcased MDI Novare’s vision, values, and opportunities available for aspiring professionals in the field of technology. The team also talked about our Bootcamp Program and has generated a lot of interest among the graduating students. 

Silliman University (Dumaguete)

Right after the Cebu engagement, our team traveled to Dumaguete to participate at the Silliman University Job Fair from May 22 to 23, 2023.

Together with 38 other companies from various industries including information technology, business process outsourcing, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy, MDI Novare engaged with hundreds of students and jobseekers who were looking to build a career in tech.

Our CFO, Dennis Maitim, who happens to be an alumnus of the Silliman University College of Business Administration conducted a short introduction of MDI Novare during the plenary attended by over 100 participants. 

At the MDI Novare booth, our team talked about the Boot Camp and Regional Hiring Programs and emphasized on how potential talents based in Dumaguete have a place in our company.

Throughout the day, we had the privilege of interacting with so many individuals from different academic disciplines, and we were energized by their passion, curiosity, and ambition!

About the Novare University Boot Camp Program:
The MDI Novare Boot Camp is a two-year immersive journey as a full-time Novare tech cadet. It consists of five tracks — Software Quality & Engineering, Data Analytics & Operations, Cloud Computing, Business Analytics, and Salesforce — from which the cadets may choose from. Each with its unique career path, the flagship initiative is a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience designed to provide talents with invaluable exposure to cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.
